Boost recurring donations this giving season with the new upsell prompt!With the Donations app, you can integrate with DAFpay to allow visitors to donate through their Donor Advised Fund (DAF).
Connecting Soapbox to the DAFpay service
To enable this feature, you must first connect your Soapbox site to the DAFpay service:
- Open the Configuration for the Donations app
- Click the Integrations tab
- Under DAFpay, enter your nonprofit's EIN (Employer Identification Number). If you have already entered your EIN in the Account Settings view of your site, it will appear here as the default.
- Enter an Account Contact Email to be associated with DAFpay payments. If you have entered an email address for Default From Email in the Account Settings view of your site, it will appear here as the default. You may alter this if you wish the DAFpay service to contact you via a different email address.
- Click Create Connect ID. Doing so will search the DAFpay service to locate an existing account for your organization or create a new account if none exists.
- If your organization already has an account with the DAFpay service, the DAFpay Connect ID (production) and DAFpay Connect ID (sandbox) parameters will populate with the appropriate values. Click Apply to save these values and remain on the tab.
- If your organization does not have account with the DAFpay service, a popup notification will confirm that your new account has been created. Close the popup. When returned to the main view, click Create Connect ID again. the DAFpay Connect ID (production) and DAFpay Connect ID (sandbox) parameters will populate with the appropriate values. Click Apply to save these values and remain on the tab.
Enabling DAFpay by default in the Configuration
After you have connected Soapbox to the DAFpay service, if you wish to enable DAFpay by default for all Donation app pages on your site:
- Open the Configuration for the Donations app
- Click the Integrations tab
- Under DAFpay, select Yes for Enable DAFpay
Enabling DAFpay for an individual Donation app page
After you have connected Soapbox to the DAFpay service, if you wish to enable DAFpay for a specific Donation app page:
- Open the Donation form for which you wish to set the status DAFpay
- Click the Payment tab
- In the Billing Information section, for Enable DAFpay, select Use Global Config to follow the setting in Donations > Configuration, Yes, or No. The default value is Use Global Config.
- Click Save
