With the Shop app, you can remove a value from one of a product's Variant Options when you no longer offer it. As an example, if you have been selling a T-Shirt in Blue, Red, and Green and are discontinuing Green, you can remove Green from the Colors Variant Option.
Important: Removing a value also deletes every product Variant that used it, along with the price, Product Code, SKU, image, and inventory quantity set for those Variants. This cannot be undone. If you expect to offer the value again, consider setting the Status of those Variants to Discontinued instead.
To remove a value from a Variant Option:
- Open the Shop Products Manager.
- Click the Product Name of the product you wish to update.
- Click the Variant Options tab.
- Click the name of the Variant Option you wish to update.
- Click the × to the right of the value you wish to remove.
- Click Save.
- Click the Variants tab to confirm the affected Variants have been removed.
- Click Save.
Note: A Variant Option must keep at least one value. If only one value remains, it cannot be removed. To remove the Variant Option altogether, select it on the Variant Options tab and click Delete.
