Exporting the bidder roster

updated

With the Auctions app, you can download a list of every bidder in an auction and the number they hold. The roster is built for the people working your registration desk, who need to hand out the right paddle and look up a number quickly without access to the administrator.

To export the roster:

  1. Open the Auctions Manager.
  2. Click the title of the auction you want to export.
  3. Click the Bidders tab.
  4. Click Manage Numbers in the toolbar.
  5. Click Export roster (CSV).

A CSV file downloads to your device, named after the auction.

What the file contains

One row per bidder, with three columns:

  • Bidder Number
  • Name
  • Bidder ID

Bidders with no number yet appear with the number column empty, which makes the file a useful check for gaps before an event.

Note: The roster is a snapshot taken when you export it. Bidders added afterwards, and any numbers changed afterwards, are not in the file — so export it as late as you reasonably can before doors open.

Choosing between the exports

The Auctions app has two exports, and they answer different questions:

Export Where Answers
Bidder roster Bidders tab → Manage Numbers Who is bidding, and what number do they hold?
Winning bids Winning Bids tab Who won what, for how much, and where is it shipping?
