Turning on guest details requests for an Event

updated

With the Events app, you can allow guest details requests for each event. Turning this on adds the request buttons to the event's Tickets and Reservations tabs, and a line above the Tickets tab's list showing how many tickets still need a name, required info or a card.

Important: Turn this on once the event's attendee fields and questions are final. Guests are asked for whatever the event requires at the time they open their link.

To turn on guest details requests:

  1. Open the Events Manager.
  2. Click the title of the event.
  3. Click the Edit tab.
  4. In the Self-Service section, for Allow Guest Details Requests, select Yes.
  5. For Ticket Edit Deadline, select the last date on which guests can make changes, if you wish. With no deadline, changes close when the event starts.
  6. Click Save.

Note: Links close at the end of the deadline day, in the event's time zone. Moving the deadline later keeps open links working until the new date. A link that has already closed stays closed, and a new request sends a fresh one.

Note: Offer Bidder Sign-Up to Guests, in the same section, invites each guest to add a card for the event's auction after they save their details. It has no effect unless Allow Guest Details Requests is set to Yes. See Offering bidder sign-up and a card to guests for an Event.
