Why does my donation app page display a "Invalid Plan ID" error?

After submitting a donation on a Donations app page, you may receive the following error.

"Invalid Plan ID"

This error is typically related to a Soapbox Engage account that is using the Braintree payment gateway, but has not set a Plan ID for the page.  To remedy this situation, please follow the steps in the following support article:  Accepting recurring payments with Braintree in Soapbox Donations.
