With three Soapbox releases in the month of April, we've extended the functionality of peer-to-peer fundraising in the Donations app while enhancing anti-spam measures by updating and expanding reCAPTCHA coverage.
Peer-to-Peer Fundraising
The following improvements were made to peer-to-peer fundraising in the Donations app:
- Added the option for an administrator to display the progress area of their Fundraising Pages with a progress bar or with the current progress wheel
- Expanded the data written to the Lead object in Salesforce for donations made on a peer-to-peer Fundraising Page to include the First Name, Last Name, Username, and Email of the fundraiser
- Added merge fields specific to peer-to-peer Fundraising Pages as options for the donor thank you page text and donor confirmation email message text
- Improved default language of buttons and messages, enhanced various user interface elements when completing forms, and increased admin-control over the display of elements across the peer-to-peer fundraising experience
reCAPTCHA
We updated the version of reCAPTCHA used by Soapbox as an anti-spam measure on the contact form in the Soapbox CMS. We also added reCAPTCHA as an option to be used with Donations app forms. To keep conversion rates high on your Donations pages, we encourage you to enable this only in particular cases where the honeypot anti-spam measure in Soapbox is not proving effective at reducing spam. If you find yourself in such a situation and you wish to enable reCAPTCHA, please submit a ticket through the Soapbox Support Center and request that reCAPTCHA be enabled for your site. Once that has been done by our Support Team, you can enable or disable reCAPTCHA for your Donation forms.
Happy Soapboxing!
