Where your sponsors appear

updated

With the Auctions app, the sponsors you set up show in two places: a Sponsors page in your auction, and a scrolling bar on a Fundraising Live Display at your event. Both draw on the same sponsor records, so you set them up once.

The auction's Sponsors page

Bidders reach the page from the Sponsors item in the auction's navigation menu. Sponsors appear grouped under their level, in the order you set, with each level's logos sized according to that level's Logo Size.

Each sponsor appears as a card showing its logo and name. Where you entered a URL, the whole card links to that site.

Turning the page on and off

The Sponsors menu item is controlled per auction:

  1. Open the auction and click the Menu & Pages tab.
  2. For Show Sponsors Menu Item, select Yes or No.
  3. Click Save.

With it set to No, the page is not linked from the auction navigation.

Note: If the navigation shows no Sponsors item, check this setting before checking your sponsor records.

On a Fundraising Live Display

A Live Display can show a scrolling bar of sponsors along the bottom of the screen throughout your event. The sponsors come from the auction the display is linked to, so anything you change in the auction reaches the display.

Setting it up spans both apps:

  1. On the Live Display in the administrator, set Linked Auction to this auction, and choose which sponsor levels to include — useful when you want only your top tiers on the main screen.
  2. On the display itself, open the Settings panel and enable Show scrolling sponsors, then choose a Sponsor Scroll Speed of Slow, Medium or Fast.

For the full Settings panel, see Managing Live Display Settings on the front end.

What has to be true for a sponsor to appear

Anywhere sponsors are shown, a sponsor appears only when both of these are true:

  • The sponsor is Published
  • The sponsor's level is Published

An unpublished level hides every sponsor in it, however each sponsor is set. That is the most common reason a sponsor is missing, and it is worth checking first because nothing on the sponsor's own record indicates it.

A sponsor with no logo still appears, using a placeholder, so gaps show up rather than disappearing quietly.
