With the Events app, you can customize the two request emails: the one sent to ticket holders and the one sent to purchasers. You can set site-wide defaults in the Configuration and override them for a single event.
Both emails accept the Confirmation Email variables, plus {purchaser} for the name of the person who placed the order and {deadline} for the date changes close. Each email always carries the recipient's personal link.
Customizing the emails for one event
- Open the Events Manager.
- Click the title of the event.
- Click the Messages tab.
- In the Guest Details Request Email section, for Email Subject and Email Text, enter the subject and text sent to ticket holders.
- In the Who's Coming Request Email section, for Email Subject and Email Text, enter the subject and text sent to purchasers.
- Click Save.
Leave a field blank to use the default from the Configuration.
Setting the defaults and the resend cooldown
- Open the Events Configuration view.
- Click the Messages tab.
- In the Guest Details Requests section, for Resend Cooldown (Minutes), enter the minimum number of minutes between requests to the same person. The default is 30. Enter 0 to turn the cooldown off.
- For Default Guest Details Request Email Subject and Default Guest Details Request Email Text, enter the defaults for the email to ticket holders.
- For Default Who's Coming Request Email Subject and Default Who's Coming Request Email Text, enter the defaults for the email to purchasers.
- Click Save.
Note: The cooldown also applies when a purchaser invites a guest from their order. Someone emailed within the cooldown is left out of the next request unless you choose to include them.
