Improvements across Soapbox through a series of releases


With a series of recent Soapbox releases, we've addressed a variety of issues across the Donations app, Shop app, and global aspects of the platform to ensure your getting most from the platform. Check out the details below and stay tuned for significant additional updates to follow over the next few days!

Shop app

  • Resolved an issue with Salesforce date/time field types included as custom fields for products not accepting valid values (e.g. 2016-12-30 16:51:01)
  • Resolved issue with the {name} variable on the thank you page and confirmation emails from Shop showing the payee rather than Contact Info name
  • Updated the styling of category tabs for Soapbox Engage Standard Template so they are prettier
  • Added the ability for Store category tabs to appear in the order set by the administrator in the Categories Manager
  • Added validation on the product add/edit view that prevents Min Value from being greater than Max Value
  • Resolved issue with copying a store that replicated its Products but swapped Min Amount and Max Amount values, creating silliness that was needed or wanted by no one
  • Resolved issue with the Shop app stubbornly refusing to properly submit order forms when Soapbox Engage Payments Sandbox was being used
  • Resolved an issue with the Billing First Name and Billing Last Name from the Shop order form not being saved to corresponding fields in Salesforce
  • Resolved an annoying little bug in Firefox when clicking the Go or Reset for Filter buttons in the Stores Manager that opened a new store window rather than filtering the stores in the Stores Manager
  • Resolved issue with the {name} variable not populating the thank you page and confirmation emails for orders when using PayPal Website Payments Pro


  • Updated the method used by Soapbox to send emails to ensure continued security for the platform and your site
