With the Events app, you can email purchasers and ticket holders a personal link to complete their tickets, so you have every guest's name and details before the event. No one needs to sign in, and you can see who still owes you information from the administrator.
There are two kinds of request:
- Request Guest Details goes to the person who placed an order. Their link opens the order, where they name each guest and can invite those guests to add their own details.
- Request Details goes to a ticket holder. Their link opens their own ticket, where they fill in the details the event asks for.
What a purchaser can do from their link
- Name each guest on the order and add an email address.
- Invite a guest, or all named guests at once, to add their own details.
- Copy a guest's link to send it another way.
- Fill in a guest's details for them, until that guest saves their own.
- Assign a ticket to themselves, or replace a guest.
What a guest can do from their link
- Fill in their name, contact details and the event's questions for their own ticket.
- Come back and edit their details until changes close.
When links stop working
A link works until changes close for the event. That is the end of the day set as the event's Ticket Edit Deadline, or when the event starts if no deadline is set. Times are in the event's time zone.
A link also stops working when it is replaced: when the ticket's email address changes, when a purchaser replaces the guest, or when a newer link is sent.
Note: Once a guest is checked in, or is a bidder with bids, a pledge or a card in a linked auction, a purchaser can no longer change that guest's name or email, or assign the ticket to someone else.
Setting it up
- Turn on guest details requests for the event.
- Customize the request emails, if you wish.
- Request guest names from purchasers or request details from ticket holders.
